Game Mode gives cues for kids to find the right letter or object on the board. There are three modes or settings: Learning Mode allows children to explore the letters and musical instruments. As I mentioned, my preschooler is very drawn to music and he has really been loving the musical features of this toy. The songs include Wheels On The Bus, the ABC Song, and Rockin’ School Bus (a LeapFrog original tune). A piano and drums are built into the bus (the drums are the bus wheels). Once he learns to recognize the letters, he can press a picture of a ball at the top of the bus and play a game of finding the letters that are called out to him.
By pressing the star at the top of the bus, my child can then press any letter on the board and be told what it is and what sound it makes. There are different ways to play with the letters on the Learning Bus.It has games for learning the names and sounds for each letter, in a fun way that keeps my child engaged.I guess that’s what they mean by “touch magic”. This toy definitely does not frustrate him. I’ve given away other toys that were great, other than the fact that my toddler or preschooler couldn’t work the buttons and ended up frustrated. It recognizes every touch that my child makes. Since he is also a very musical kid, the piano, drum and song features of this toy are a great fit for him. This came just in time for some of the learning goals I have set with my 3 1/2 year old: learning the names of letters and the sounds they make. The Touch Magic Learning Bus is one of LeapFrog’s new products. They like them because they’re fun to play with. I like them because my kids truly learn from them. The Fridge Phonics, the LeapFrog Letter Factory DVD’s and the Leapster have been favorites. Our family has long been a fan of LeapFrog learning toys.
